According to setlists.net this song was played once in 1966 and 9 times in 1985. I have no idea where Chula Vista, Ca is however I wish I was there as this has to be one of the best versions of a great song. Why did they stop playing this song? Garcia gives this version special treatment with 3 solos. The rest of the show is not bad either with a nice up-tempo Scarlet-Fire and an always welcome Comes a Time. Give it a listen.

Hey BillyD,

I always liked this one best:

Something about Rochester? Always a fun stop.

Although the 11/1/85 Richmond version is also excellent

Gotta agree, don't know why it was played so infrequently but Garcia just nails it every time I've heard it.

always loved this choice and wished they kept it.

As for the Chula vista show, I want to say people who were there always comment on the small, intimate size. For some reason A soccer field or track stadium comes to mind.

Billy, thanks for a superb show for a rainy afternoon in Dixie, just what the doctor ordered. Very nice.
